Nursing Foot Care Services

Services focus on supportive, preventative nursing foot care tailored to individual needs.

Services May Include: 

  • A quick, comprehensive assessment of the lower limbs and feet
  • Routine nail trimming and maintenance
  • Thickened and fungal nail reduction within nursing scope
  • Callus and corn care appropriate to nursing practice
  • Skin, nail, and circulation observation
  • Monitoring of diabetic or higher-risk feet
  • Foot health education and preventative guidance

Specialized Ingrown Nail Care

Onyfix® Certified — Non-Invasive Ingrown Nail Correction

 This non-surgical nail correction system:

  • Helps guide nail growth over time
  • Avoids surgical procedures
  • May reduce pressure or discomfort associated with involuted nails
  • Is provided as supportive care within nursing scope


Additional fee applies. Referral will be recommended if medical or surgical treatment is required.

Infection Prevention & Safety

Client safety and professional accountability are priorities. Practice includes:

  • Single-use sterile instruments
  • Medical-grade infection prevention practices
  • Professional nursing documentation
  • Care provided according to provincial nursing standards

Scope of Care — When Referral Is Recommended

Nursing foot care services are preventative and supportive in nature. Referral to an appropriate healthcare provider may be recommended for: 


  • Active infections requiring prescription treatment
  • Open wounds, ulcers, or non-healing lesions
  • Suspected skin cancers or abnormal growths
  • Severe ingrown nails requiring surgical care
  • Conditions requiring medical diagnosis
  • Acute injuries, fractures, or significant swelling
  • Systemic concerns outside nursing scope


 This helps ensure safe, appropriate care.
